If you wish to become a member of the Society:
- First create a user-account at membership.musicologyireland.com/user/register, where you'll be asked to define your login and verify your email address.
- After your user-account is verified, log in at membership.musicologyireland.com/user.
- Then go to membership.musicologyireland.com/payment_options, select the option that you require, and follow the steps to pay online.
If your former membership has lapsed within the last five years and you wish now to rejoin the Society:
- Login with the mail address and password that you used as a member, at membership.musicologyireland.com/user. If you've forgotten your password, you may reset it there provided that you still use the same mail address.
- If you need assistance with finding and reactivating your user-account, contact the SMI Web administrator at admin@musicologyireland.com.
- Once you have successfully logged into your user-account, you may edit your details (e.g. if you wish to use a different mail address this time) before selecting the payment option that you prefer at membership.musicologyireland.com/payment_options.
Membership fees
- Ordinary Members: €55 (Ordinary membership can be paid as a once-off yearly payment (365 days) OR as a Subscription (rolling))
- Student Members: €25 (Student membership is only available as a once-off yearly payment (365 days))
- Corporate Members / Institutions: €120 (once-off yearly payment (365 days))
- NEW* Lifetime Membership: €800 (single payment)
The fee for a lifetime membership should be transferred directly to the SMI bank account (rather than to Paypal) and the Honorary Membership Secretary (barbara.dignam@dcu.ie) be notified of this transfer.
